Lima City Tour

Welcome to Lima, The City of Kings, a city full of history and cultural heritage. Travel with us around Lima and visit the great convent of San Francisco, a colonial gem that still today keeps all the treasures from the Spanish era. Visit some of the best museums in Lima, such as the Gold Museum, Larco Herrera Museum, Museum of Archaeology, Anthropology and History of Peru. Explore the ruins of Pachacamac, home of the most important god on the Peruvian coast. Enjoy also our modern Lima, visiting the most important areas, such as Miraflores, San Isidro and the traditional district of Barranco. Do not forget that Lima is also full of nightlife with fancy restaurants, local peñas, great casinos, salsa discos, pubs and great nightclubs.

Description of Tour:

A full day dedicated to this UNESCO city. Morning pick up from your hotel to be driven to the historic area. You will start in one of the first premises of the first university of the Americas, continue to Plaza San Martin and walk through Jr. De la Union, a walking promenade where you will be able to observe several national heritage houses along the way including the Teatro Municipal and Teatro Segura two of the most emblematic and traditional theatres in the city. Keep on walking to Limas Main Square called Plaza Mayor.

Visit Casa Osambela, a house that dates back to the 18th century of rich architecture; and Convento de Santo Domingo, where you will be able to climb its tower and get a spectacular view of Lima. Continuing the tour, you will visit Casa de Aliaga owned by the same family since viceroyalty. Lunch in a local restaurant and some rest. During the afternoon, you will visit the Convento de San Francisco and then on to Parque de la Muralla, overlooking the Rimac River and the Cerro San Cristobal; then on to Museo de la Inquisición, Escuela de Bellas Artes, and Convento de San Camilo which keeps some of the Zurbaran paintings. Finally, visit the Chinatown, the biggest in South America where Chinese immigrants settle back around mid 1800s. Transfer back to hotel in our comfortable van.

Day 1 –

Historic center Lima
