Fishing Cusco – 2-Day Experience at Chaullacocha Lagoon

2-Day Fishing and Cultural Experience in Chaullacocha and Lares Hot Springs.

This tour includes rainbow trout fishing in the high-altitude Chaullacocha lagoon, interaction with Andean communities, and relaxation in the Lares thermal baths. The journey begins from your hotel in Cusco or Sacred Valley and includes transport through beautiful mountain routes to the community of Chaullacocha. The experience includes Andean culture, local gastronomy, and optional camping or homestay with local families. A perfect balance between adventure and immersion in local traditions.

Day 1 –

Cusco, Ollantaytambo, Patacancha community, Chaullacocha (fishing lagoon) visit the local people, and enjoy the breathtaking scenery. Afternoon , transport ride to Lares ( hot springs) camping site (L&D)

Pick up from your hotel at 6 am in our private vehicle for your 2-hour trip to the community of Chaullacocha to enjoy the local cuisine along with its customs and experiences. After lunch we will go fishing for rainbow trout in the Chaullacocha lagoon, fishing until around 4pm, overnight in a rustic Andean house. A long the way we will enjoy the amazing breathtaking mountains , we will observe many alpacas , llamas and sheeps we will also visit many local families and share some of their traditions. Afternoon , we will head to Lares village where we will spend the night at the Hot springs camping and enjoy the four hot spring pools with temperatures of 98.6° F, 100.4° F, 111.2° F, and a sizzling 118.4° F. The pools are warm, so soak with caution. The hot temperatures can sneak up on you, especially on warm days when the sun is shinning down at such a high altitude. Visiting on a cold and rainy day, actually help regulate the soaking experience. The water is full of rich minerals, resulting in the water having a brownish tint. The water is not dirty, just filled with healing properties. There is not a terrible sulfur smell, which is usually prevalent at most hot springs. With the healing benefits of these pools, your skin will feeling extra fresh.( (Breakfast and Lunch)

Day 2 –

Thermal Baths, explore the Lares village and then back to Cusco , or Ollantaytambo for your train journey by train to MachuPicchu (B)

Wake up with some hot coffee or Chocolate, and enjoy again the thermal baths. Before our way back to Cusco or Sacred valley we will explore theis beautiful village of Lares vwe will enjoy the stunning view along the way, we will see many animasl such as baby alpacas, lamas, sheeps. We will come back in our private transport and drop off in your hotel of Cusco or Sacred valley for your train journey to Machu Picchu, will depend much of your timing Schedule.This trip will take us around 2 and half hour by our private transport (Breakfast only)
