Adventure
Low
Upon arrival at Baltra airport, one of the gateways to the Galapagos, you will be met by
our local representative and then continue to the upper part of Santa Cruz Island. Our
visit is to El Chato which is a private reserve, here you will have the opportunity to observe
giant tortoises in their natural state. Afterwards you will hike into the lava tunnels (1 km
long) which are a lava formation due to the solidification of the outer crust of the lava,
at the end of this visit we continue to Crater Los Gemelos which are 2 very similar extinct
craters located next to each other and surrounded by forests of scalesias and other
endemic plants. At the end of the tour we continue to Puerto Ayora, where we will check
in at the hotel.
Meals: Lunch.
You will be picked up from your hotel and taken to visit North Seymour Island, one of
the most beautiful uninhabited islands in the Galapagos. This is an ideal place to observe
native Galapagos birds, a colony of Blue-footed Boobies and Frigatebirds, as well as
being the site where the Galapagos birds perform their mating rituals and then nest
depending on the time of the year. North Seymour is also home to a Sea Lion Colony.
Activities during the day include a walk along the trail that allows us to observe the flora
and fauna of the island, lunch is on board the yacht and then you can enjoy one of the
beautiful beaches of Galapagos. Return to Puerto Ayora and return to the hotel.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch on board
This island, with its iconic pinnacle, is located northwest of Santa Cruz. Upon arriving at
Bartolome, we will have a dry landing. Then, we will begin the walk along a path that will
take us to the top of the island, through its 395 steps that will end with a spectacular
panoramic view of the island and its pinnacle, being the moment to take that stunning
photo of our trip. During the walk, we will observe small lava tunnels that are the product
of the last eruption and where endemic vegetation grow, such as lava cacti and tiquilla
plants, generally surrounded by Darwin’s finches.
After a breathtaking experience in Bartolome, we will enjoy a succulent lunch onboard
the yacht. Then, we will head towards Sullivan Bay, where we will enjoy the marine fauna
of the Galapagos while we snorkel. Sullivan Bay is one of the most beautiful places in the
Galapagos to snorkel due to its crystal-clear waters!
Meals: Breakfast, lunch on board
Plazas, as many call it, has an incredible landscape, and on our arrival to it, we will have
a dry landing while sea lions welcome us at the shore. We will begin our walk along a
path through an Opuntia Cactus forest. Continuing our tour, we will reach the fantastic,
windy cliff where red-billed tropical birds, swallow-tailed gulls, brown pelicans, and the
impressive frigate bird usually fly around. The trail meanders along the edge of the ridge
for a few hundred meters.
After our lunch onboard the yacht, we will discover the Galapagos marine fauna while
snorkeling. With some luck, we will see white-tip sharks and a great variety of fish, sea
turtles, and rays. After this journey, we will return to the Itabaca Channel, where a bus will
be waiting for us to take us to Puerto Ayora’s pier, where the adventure of this day ends
