Codigo Conducta ESSNA

In accordance with Law No. 28251, the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (MINCETUR) has established a national policy to prevent the sexual exploitation of children and adolescents (ESNNA). As part of this effort, the ESNNA Code and FEAR FACTOR PERU have entered into a joint agreement to help prevent and eliminate this issue. Therefore, we declare that:
  • We reject the sexual exploitation of children and adolescents (ESNNA) in Peru and around the world—especially in its form associated with travel and tourism—because it violates fundamental human rights and contradicts the true purpose of tourism in our country.
  • We denounce and condemn anyone who uses tourism activities, facilities, or services to promote, enable, or tolerate the sexual exploitation of children and adolescents.
Fear Factor Peru supports and adopts this Code of Conduct against the sexual exploitation of children and adolescents in the tourism sector. This Code is a formal statement of voluntary commitment aimed at establishing behavioral guidelines for all members of FEAR FACTOR PERU. Its purpose is to protect children and adolescents from all forms of sexual exploitation and human trafficking linked to travel and tourism. To support this goal, we commit to:
  • Maintaining an ethical policy that fully rejects the commercial sexual exploitation of children and adolescents in travel and tourism.
  • Informing and training our staff on the company’s policies regarding the prevention of sexual exploitation of children and adolescents in tourism and travel.
  • Displaying clear and visible messages to inform customers and service providers about our stance against the sexual exploitation of children and adolescents in tourism and travel.
  • Including a clause in our contracts with tourism service providers that expresses our shared rejection of the sexual exploitation of children and adolescents, using the following statement: “Tourism supports a childhood and adolescence free from sexual exploitation; therefore, we do not accept any act that facilitates the sexual exploitation of children and adolescents.”
