The Lares Valley Mountain Biking Tour is an exceptional adventure through one of the most remote and pristine regions of the Cusco area. This Andean valley is home to isolated mountain communities surrounded by dramatic peaks, untouched landscapes, and rich wildlife. The people of Lares preserve ancestral traditions, wearing finely woven homespun clothing and living alongside large herds of llamas and alpacas, offering an authentic glimpse into Andean life.
Designed for experienced mountain bikers, this tour delivers an exhilarating downhill riding experience, descending from high mountain passes into the Lares Valley and toward the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Riders follow a combination of dirt roads and ancient Inca Trails (single tracks)—many of them rarely used—creating a true sense of exploration and adventure.
One of the highlights of this journey is the opportunity to relax in the natural Lares Hot Springs, whose mineral-rich thermal waters provide the perfect way to recover after an intense day of riding. Surrounded by mountains and pure Andean air, these hot springs offer a unique contrast between high-adrenaline biking and deep relaxation.
The experience is completed with spectacular downhill sections, technical single-track riding, and an unforgettable night camping under the Andean star-filled sky, making this tour one of the most complete mountain biking adventures in the Cusco region.

This tour requires excellent riding skills, strong physical condition, and proper acclimatization above 3,500 m (11,480 ft). Prior to departure, all participants will attend a mandatory pre-tour briefing with a professional mountain bike guide to review the route, safety measures, and the quality of the bikes and protective gear.

A perfect choice for riders seeking a unique combination of technical downhill biking, ancient Inca routes, authentic Andean culture, and restorative hot springs.
