Our program includes visiting the most popular attractions on the south coast of Peru. This one day tour will take you on a fantastic boat voyage to the Ballestas Islands, a beautiful group of small islands, which is home to thousands of seabirds, as well as mammals including colonies of sealions. Then we shall travel through some of the most mysterious deserts of the world, where hundreds of years ago, strange hands traced on the surface, great designs which only can be viewed in total magnitude from the air…These are the famous Nazca Lines. Also we are going to visit steel tower in the Nazca desert, where you can see two of the famous Nazca figures.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING/CARRY:
4:00 a.m. You will be picked up from your hotel in Lima for a representative of Emotion Tour Peru, in our private vehicle and then be driven to the area of Paracas. This trip to Paracas takes about three hours. Upon your arrival you will be contacted by our representative, who will take you to the Paracas Tourist Pier to begin our boat voyage to the Ballestas Islands.
On the way we see the mysterious figure of “El Candelabro” (Candelabrum), made on the side of a hill facing the sea, with an unknown origin until today…Here, we will stop our boat and our local guide will explain us the different existing theories about this enigmatic figure…Then we are going to continue our journey and arrived to the Ballestas Islands, a paradise place, full of seabirds and sealions. Among birds, we can see groups of pelicans, Inca terns, gulls, Humboldt penguins, among others…As for sealions, these can be seen everywhere resting on the shores of the islands or playing in the water.
After making a voyage boat through all these small islands, we are returning to mainland in half an hour. Upon our arrival to the pier, we will take a half an hour break in order to drinking coffee in the bay or simply go shopping at the small handicraft market in the area. Then we board our car and we will go towards Nazca.
In Nazca City you will be led up to Maria Reiche Airport, where we are boarding the plane to the Nazca Lines. You will watch an informative video about the lines before the flight, so that you can get a better idea about these archaeological remains.The types of planes we use to our tourist services are the small Cessna aircrafts, with capacity for three and five passengers, each one with a seat at the window, so you can see the figures properly. The flight takes about 35 minutes, during which time you observe some perfect representations of huge animals such as birds, including a condor, a hummingbird, a pelican, and a parrot among others. As for the other species, you will see a big monkey, a spider, a whale, a lizard and famous design known as the astronaut. Apart from the designs you will also observe hundreds of lines that run throughout the desert and large geometric shapes which resemble huge runways.
Upon your arrival, we will be waiting for you and led you to the Nazca Lines Hotel, where you can eat lunch. After our lunch we will go to the city of Lima making a stop at the Nazca desert to observe the tree and hand figures from the top of a steel tower which is13 meters height.Then we will continue our journey and arrived in Ica, where we will turn aside for a moment of our way to visit the famous oasis called Huacachina, where you will see beautiful sand dunes, and if you like you can cross through the desert by buggy and practice the most popular sport in the area known as sandboarding. Finally we are returning to Lima, arriving at approximately 10:00 p.m.
